The New Dance Show (1992)
A few months ago, I came across this clip on youtube. Watching it for the first time I thought somebody either overdubbed the music or edited the dancing. Negative...
Titled "The New Dance Show", this was Detroit's verison of Soul Train where instead of playing the regular mix of r&b and soul music, a dj played a mix of miami bass, ghetto house, hip-hop , electro & techno (this mix would later be refered to as ghetto tech). Can somebody please explain to me why there aren't parties like this in New York?

It is nice to see this and maybe some of these hipsters can get educated on this. Since they think they create this is some kind of new music.
Nothing is new... What up Soul?!
MIke B! What's good fam! I know LAX is gonna be off the chain 2nite!
This is very Chicago/Detroit-ish. Glad I live somewhere where people dance to good shit instead of just hip hop all day/night...
