For everybody out there who's never heard the Kid Capri tape where he disses Doo Wop, this is for you. It was Capri's last mix. At this time he had already released his debut album (which was produced by Biz Markie) and was catching wreck on 107.5 WBLS from Mondays to Thursday (I will be posting some of those mixes in the future).

I finally got a chance to check out this mix of 80's breaks compiled by DJ Yoda (UK) & Tobes (from Spine Magazine) and it's dope! Sort of sounds like if DJ Spinbad had did an 80's version of Kid Capri's 52 Beats (minus the jugglin).

Back To Work

Sorry for the lack of post lately. I've been busy enjoying life! For everybody out there wondering about the The Big L & Raphael Saadiq mixes, both projects are still in the works and will be out soon! I refuse to put anything out that I'm not satisfied with!

In the meantime, you can catch me on the one and two's tonight at the LTD Magazine party. Tommorow, I'll be spinnin at Prime and on Monday, I return to Sway where I'll be paying homage to the late great Christopher Wallace and helping Nicole & Natalie (Nina Sky) kick off their birthday week celebration.
