So Kanye sampled a M.I.A verse from "Paper Planes" and turned it into a chorus for that new T.I. track featuring him, Jay-Z & Lil Wayne. It only makes sense since I told u a few posts back that these english chicks got the R&B game on lock... Now my question is does Diplo and The Clash (Strummer and Jones) get publishing on the T.I. record since they all got song writer credit for "Paper Planes".
It's always good to see my peoples doing their thing. In case u missed this short film (it's only 16 minutes) released in 2006, here's your chance to check it out... Shouts to Daoud, Dahkil, Rasu, George & the entire Coup d'etat movement... Brooklyn is definitely in the house!
If anybody knows who Run DMC is making reference to on the track, leave a comment... All I can say is that it wasn't Sean Carter and I told u a while back that the Blueprint 3 was on it's way!
Since this guy is always taking pictures of me, I decided that I would take some pictures of him since it was his birthday... Supposively there were strippers and they were giving out lapdances but that was before I got there. Anyhow, I wonder if the chick dancing on the pole is a stripper. She looks like a hipster but that doesn't mean that a hipster can't be a stripper.
Some pic's from the Nov York City event that I played in L.A. a few months ago.. Better late than never... To check out Haze's work from the event, go here.
I put up this post a day ago and didn't think I would have to explain anything but after realizing that's it 2008 and not 1994, let it be known that The Beatnuts allegedly went at Das EFX by throwing a subliminal verse (check the first verse in the second video below). And to this day, I can't recall Das EFX addressing it...
Regardless, this Das video visually is great! I mean, when was the last time you saw a hip-hop video on a subway and in locations (the street, a bodega, a basement with a pool table, etc) where the label most likely didn't spend a dime on shooting.
