The Duke Of New York

The mixtape! Coming soon!

What U Know About The TCF Crew?

If u couldn't find the original 12 inch of "Go To The Horses Mouth", u had the option of buying this single. The B-side had the Jeep mix that Kool DJ Red Alert broke on 98.7 Kiss FM back in 1991...

Produced by Daddy-O (of Stetsasonic)

Can't Stop... Won't Stop...

Ok... So I'm too cool to have a picture and Okayplayer wasn't important enough to include... What the fuck else can happen? It could be worst... I could've been nominated for a BET award... At least the title is spelled right!

And after u listen, vote for it here as mixtape of the year if u agree!

My DVD Collection...

Includes all sorts of garbage and imported cinema, which I've decided to showcase since I have such amazing taste. The first clip is a trailer for The Toxic Avenger. This is some of the trash that I enjoyed back in the late 80's. Now I enjoy fine cinema like 2046 (which was direced by Wong Kar-wai). Peep the trailer below.

The 80's Aren't Coming Back...

And neither is the 90's but your boy Young Hov is droppin another album and it looks like Pepsi is cutting him a check... All I know is that I don't wanna hear Pharrell reciting En Vogue vocals... Couldn't they get Dawn Robinson to re-sing the hook? I mean... Why not? She is getting some of that publishing right?

Jay-Z feat. Pharrell "Blue Magic" (Dirty Version)

Ladies & Gentleman... Rudy Ray Moore & The Dramatics...

What u know about Dolemite? I saw this video over on A-Ron's blog and had to pull out this track which was recorded with Big Daddy Kane back in 1990...

And then I dug up the original by The Dramatics and found some footage of them performing it on Soul Train... Enjoy...

Attention: Jeff Jank

Thanks for having the zshare link for Assorted Donuts deleted... Next time u see a link posted of a track which is on the label u work for, speak to your marketing and promotion people before taking action. Fucking art directors...

New Shit!

The Donuts saga continues... An instrumental originally known as "The Mash" has been transformed into the first single off of the Peanut Butter Wolf compilation album "Zombie War" (which will be released October 2nd on Stone Throw Records)... Shouts to Scott Keating from Nike for lacing me with the kicks...

How does one of the best tracks (that 50 has recorded in a while) end up as a bonus cut on the oversea release?

R.I.P. Bobby Byrd

There's a good story over on Just Blaze's blog about him sampling Byrd's "I'm Not To Blame" for Hova's track "U Don't Know". Check it out here. Also, the first track posted below was done with his wife. Sort of amazing if u ask me...

"You're Welcome, Stop on By" (feat. Vicki Anderson)

"I'm Not To Blame"
Used for the original version and remix of Jay-Z's "U Don't Know"

Graduation - The Samples?

Nope... I'm not gonna do it! Shouts to DJ Ayres, Riggs at Shady and everybody for asking... Why not? Well, the tracks that Kanye sampled for Graduation are ok. No where as good as the one's that were flipped for Common's "Finding Forever". I still haven't heard the Prince Phillips track used for "Everything I Am" but these two tracks (which were released in 1972) are definitely worth adding to the itunes library... Labi Siffre "My Song" (Used for "I Wonder")

Can "Sing Swan Song" (Used for "Drunk & Hot Girls")

Dancehall Album Of The Year...

Kartel might've beat him in the battle but Mavado's album is untouchable! Definetely a contender for album of the year and much better than any of the albums dropping this week. There's alot of interludes but the music makes up for it... On the remix tip, here's a mix that I did last year of "Weh Dem A Do".

G-Shock Party on Sunday & Monday @ Sway...

For all my peoples in the Rotten Apple... Tommorow night, I'm spinnin from 8pm until 11:30pm at the G Shock party... Frank 151 is hosting and there's gonna be an open bar and free watches... RSVP info is on the flyer...

And then on Monday, I'll be up over at Sway alongside Oxy Cottontail, Married To The Mob and Worth Worship to wish Alanna Blonde a happy farewell to Los Angeles... Who knows what I'll be playing... I guess it depends on how much Patron is consumed...

Come And Knock On My Door...

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last week... During Labor Day weekend I played 5 out of 6 nites, ended up in Miami for a few days where I got sick and came home... Anyhow, Three's Company is one of my favorite television shows... I'm still pissed that Nick At Nite took it off the air for The Fresh Prince and Roseanne. Just what we all needed... Instead of seeing the youth dress like Chrissy and Jack, we get to see them dress like Will and Roseanne's dirty ass kids... Just kidding... I still can't understand how Jack never hit off any of them broads...

Busta Rhymes "Ping"
Unfinished track from the Aftermath sessions for "The Big Bang"

Three's Company (Some B-more mix I found)
I have no idea who did it or how i ended up with it... It sounds unfinished...
